The third and final film in Pablo Larrain’s so-called “Lady with Heels”; The female-led biographical trilogy that follows Jackie (2016) and Spencer (2021). I want praise
Close-up says: Why do we need the Venice Film Festival? (2024) is very well written and well directed. The actors give extraordinary performances, especially Angelina and Haluk Biljiner.
The hints say more than they show
Some scenes do not show Hey Siri, but hints. Especially the past events of the Nazi occupation… The music is really great, mainly Pulcini.
This film is highly recommended
The dialogue is abrupt and unpredictable. The dialogue between Callas and Kennedy is beautiful and says a lot, as is the dialogue between Callas, Onasis and a Callas fan. These two dialogues show that powerful men, considered great then and still are, were actually simple for primitive people.
